The annual sports Day of Cygnet Public School and Jr. college was held on 18th December 2018. The atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students and the parents.
The programme began with the welcome ceremony of the chief guest Mr. Krishna Kale, Shivchhatrapati Awardee sportsperson in Malkhamb and Yoga. Mrs. Shubhangi Rasker, Deputy Director School Programme - JSPM Mrs. Lakhvindar Joshi - Assistant Director, School programme, Hadapsar campus and principals of various faculty of Hadapsar campus were falicitated by the Principal Mrs. Varsha Kokil.
The sports day was inaugurated by lighting the torch by the chief guest Mr. Krisha Kale and the dignitaries on the dais along with sports captain and sports teacher. It was followed by the inter house march past, a highly competitive event where the four houses eyed for the first place. Mr. Krushna Kale accepted the salute of the impressive march past of the students, coupled with some stirring marching music by the band. The students took the oath administered by the sports captain. The audience witnessed various displays symbolizing alternative sources of energy and colour. Later the students displayed karate skills which mesmerized the audience with their energetic performance. The display made way for the highly awaited athletic events. (100m and Relay race) where the competitiveness soared to the roof. Once the races began the air was filled with cheering the tons of encouragement for the young athletes..
Prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the students who took part in inter school sports events.. The best march past trophy was awarded to the Green House. The programme ended with vote of thanks and Vande Mataram. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
