United Nations Day continues to be celebrated globally, as part of United Nations Week.
The world celebrates United Nations Day every October 24th to honor interstate organization promoting human rights, social progress & world peace.
Following are the aims and objectives of the United Nations.
1. To maintain international peace and security.
2. To develop friendly relations among nations on the basis of equality and the principle of self determination.
3. To faster world wide cooperation in solving economic, social, cultural problems.
