International days are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern and figure out solutions too. International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed on 26th June to strengthen global action and cooperation to achieve the goal of and international Society free of drug abuse.
This year’s theme –
‘Health for Justice Jutice for Health’
It highlights that justice and health are two sides of the same coin when it comes to addressing drug problems. Drug abuse or Drug addiction is psychiatric, social, psychological problem that not only affects a large area of people of different age.
On this occasion Cygnet Public School and Jr. College celebrated this day and rise awareness about the major problems associated with illicit drugs. A special assembly conducted to mark this occasion, where the Oath was taken by the students about not getting the habit of Drugs and creating awareness among the society against drug addiction. Students from class VIII Miss Arya Zagade and Miss. Dariya Choudhary shared the information about this day. Our honourable Principal Mrs. Unnati Joshi Ma’am shared her valuable thoughts on this awareness programme.
